As the Sun
Tune: Follow Me (John Denver)
As the sun begins to fade behind the hills
And the golden glow of home begins to dim
Twilight falls, summer’s here, Tapawingo draws us near
Friendships old and new faintly light the sky
One by one stars appear, scattered specks with hopes so dear
Shy and timid, still unsure of their own light
With warmth and love around, we are starting to reach out
All our hopes and dreams, are coming true at last
The glimmer of each star helps others give more freely
Learning how to share and grow to feel the magic of the night
Summer sky, bright with love, reflected in each one of us
Here at Tap we’ve gained the confidence to shine
Though we part all too fast, what we’ve learned we know will last
Tapawingo shines forever in our minds
